Tom began his career in leasing in 1986 when he founded Omni Leasing, Inc. In 1998 he sold Omni Leasing, Inc. to First Sierra Financial and stayed on with the company until 1999. Tom came on board with Liberty Financial Group in January 2001 as President and along with his partners has grown the company by building strong relationships with vendors and customers. He continues to lead his team in a variety of industries by focusing on strong customer service. Tom graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and College and enjoys family, boating and golf.

Michael DeGroat
Vice President
Michael began his career in the equipment leasing industry in 1996 when he joined Omni Leasing, Inc. in a sales position. His focus then as it is today is directed at both vendor and end-user lease finance transactions. After Omni Leasing, Inc. was acquired in 1998 by First Sierra Financial, Inc. Michael continued to focus his sales efforts on quality vendor and end-user business. Michael and his partners founded Liberty Financial Group, Inc. in March of 2000. Michael has an MBA degree from Drexel University and a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University.

Erich Maerz
Vice President
Erich begin his career with Omni Leasing in 1998 which was acquired later that year by First Sierra Financial, Inc. When he began his career in the equipment leasing industry he focused his attention on vendor based business and through those relationships he has built a large vendor and customer base. He continues to build long term relationships by understanding and fulfilling the needs of the vendor as well as the customer. He is heavily involved in the waste and the trucking industries but has built relationships with customers in all sorts of markets. Erich and his partners founded Liberty Financial Group, Inc. in March of 2000. He graduated from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove PA, majoring in Public Relations major with a minor in business.
